Final Reflection

These were the answers for the question that Madam Foziah posted to us.

1. Blogging skill was the new skill that I learned here. For me blogging is good because it was just a diary that we can reflect what happen in there. I can reflect what I done each week in the blog and this help me to remember what I had learned through this semester. I also can express my ideas and opinion about something that related to the topic that I learned for that week

2. I did not like how difficult to open the websites since the wireless connection in my college is always done (external pressure). Besides that if we tend to write in the blog itself it will detect our English errors. Moreover when we write in the blog and then suddenly there is internet connection, all our written up will disappear so to improve the blog I tend to write in Microsoft Word and later paste it in the blog. It is such complicate things to do.

For 3 and 4 question. There are many things that I already gained by blogging. I think I already improve language skills. Before things I just right if the lecture give assignment to write but now, I actually have to write weekly in the blog and for sure I actually I have to check my language because it will appear in the blog and people can actually read it. Besides that, It actually improve my thought process because I should do the reflection. I had to reflect what was happening that week so that I could actually improve myself during that week.


5. The course taught me about the latest way in developing teaching aids for future use. I think it is useful as the country try to achieve 2020 vision. All the skills can help the maximise teaching and learning. The course prepared me to do the best teaching aids and as these teaching aids is useful in helping me in the teaching and learning.


6. The course should be balance between theory and practical so that the students will be able to justify the reason why they design particular teaching aids. These to make sure the students will be to make us or to choose the best teaching to be use in one lesson.

7. I learned many things such as how to download video. I also learned photo editing, audio editing, encoding, how to make e-book, video editing. I also learned to explore the internet more broadly. As this develop me to be dependent since I had to explore myself the software that I never encounter before.

8. These course taught me more about technology aids that may help in the future. There are many things that I not expected such learning make e-book. At first I think that it is hard to do it but it is quit simple as you just make it in the powerpoint slide.

9. I expected to learn about non-technological teaching aids such as making poster, cue cards and others. This is because I think that this subject also about developing resource in ESL classroom so maybe there are non-technological teaching aids that Madam Foziah wants us to do.

week 14

That day was our final day of this course. We did exam that day. we were given 4 questions and we had to answered all the question. it was rather very tense moment(of course, it was a test) because we were test based what we learned throughout this semester. I think many things that we already learn throughout this semester especially in developing teaching aids for technological method. These are a few things that I think that I already have knolwedege

1. Photo editing
2. Audio editing
3. Video editing
4. Downloading
5. Encoding

There actually a lot of things that I already learn from this course and I hope the skills that I got from this course will give benefit to me in future.
I think that I already develop myself being a teacher. By using this blog I can reflect what had happen to this course through the one semester learning.

P/S: I hope that my test mark is going to be alright

Week 13th

That day Madam Foziah let us try some of the software that involved games. So we try the games. It was rather exciting that such activity. We try Freddy Fish that involved problem solving games. The game was very attractive because it was a colourful and in opinion will able to attract the pupils’ attention. Madam Foziah asked us to try the games. In my opinion it was a fun and challenging game. The game is about two fish that try to solve the problem in the school. Their school was being attack by a ghost. In order to be able to solve the problem the mystery, the two fish have to find the correct clue. The fish have to finds that the clues give them. it is actually attractive because the child will be able to learn noun (name of the things) besides that they will be able to develop problem solving skills. After that, we are given a task to evaluate ‘Software Evaluation’ sheet where we have to evaluate the software. As a teacher we had to choose the correct software that we want our student to try so that maximise teaching-learning can be done.

Week 12th

It was end of Hari Raya holiday and I had not finished my assignment three yet. That day we had to search for research article “using teaching aids in the classroom” where we had to review the article in many ways. I actually had a hard time searching for the article because it is very limited. As I search for the correct article I found that there was article that related in using technology in the internet but unluckily it was limited of research article. it showed me that was unlimited source in the internet about something but whether it was appropriate or not the searcher herself/herself have to evaluate whether the information that being gathered is appropriate or not. It made me wonder if web 3.0 ( I got the information for technology class or you can search in the yahoo engine about this)can help in so that searching information so that the information that we gather is information that we really want.


p/s :Madam Foziah gave us time to finish the assignment during that day. It was a relief. I will continue on the work on the assignment and I hope that I can finish it on time.

Week 11th

Today we present the text that madam Foziah gave last week. It was rather so many inputs in one day but I managed to digest some of the things. We were also have to organize our things for the portfolio and as we had to hand it the portfolio at the end of the final week. As we learned all the things, mdm foziah asked us to bold the things that we learn(the url, software and etc) with the blue colour and bold the things that we discover ourselves with red colour so that Mdm Foziah can see what we had learn and improve ourselves in this semester. I think by doing this way she can keep track what we had learn. It is also good because we can do inquiry-discovery learning where we can discover the knowledge itself. As we discover the technology knowledge ourselves we would usually understand the knowledge better and even practice it better in real life. As this course it is actually came to an end I think that I discovered many things regarding developing resource using technology. We also have to search for an article about developing resource using technology. Since there is no internet in my house, I think I had to summit the article quiet late.

Week 10th

That day Madam Foziah taught us about Microsoft Publisher. I discovered things that can be done such as making name card, pamphlet, flyers, poster and many more. As I discovered the usage of the Microsoft Publisher, I think my knowledge about handling Microsoft software was not depth enough. I really had to work hard so that I will maximize my skills using technology. Besides my master the skills I actually c I discovered many usage of the Microsoft Publisher that really can help me in producing better “pamphlet, poster, and newsletter” in the future. For this week task we are asked to do newsletter. We choose to do newsletter about recipe. As usual we divide our work so that it will become easier to do the work. It is quite fun while making the newsletter because we can explore the usage of the newsletter. I feel like that I am working with the newspaper company while doing the newsletter task. We also are being given with work regarding the task for power point presentation to present it next week. I also discover the websites that is Bit comet that able you to download anything such as music, video and many more. You just have to search it in yahoo. It is a useful place in downloading things and it will automatically download it for you. I think it quite useful for us future teacher to know the ability of the internet in helping us to search for good resource that we will be able to use it in future.

Week 9th

This week task was presentation regarding the text that Madam Foziah gave us last week. I felt very nervous because I had to present (it was about one semester I never present anything in UM). Presentation worked well. So for this week I continue my work regarding the task. I also send my work on Monday. As the journey come to end this course become more challenging. I think the development of my work also become slow maybe because fasting month (can I use it as an excuse?). For the Michael Jackson task and also video task, my group already discusses about it and we decided to divide our work so that it will be easier.
